So, I thought this post could just be to get some discussion going in the comment feed. From what I understand, our first assignment is to design a main character according to our theme: an animated feature, sci-fi genre (along the lines of battlestar galactica), targeted for teen boys.
Is this due monday or wednesday? Are we supposed to post the final product on the wordpress website?
I think to start off we can just each post some sketches and rough drafts of our hero/heroine. Sound good? Then we can narrow it down from there. I vote that by saturday night we each have some sketches contributed.

Hi guys, since this is a group project perhaps we should get together and discuss some ideas for our genre. I do believe a final design is due on Wednesday...as for the personal assignment for this week I don't think Ryan ever said anything so maybe we can email him to get confirmation on that? First and foremost if we are designing a character I think it would be fun to establish perhaps some personality traits and details about him/her/it before we blindly jump into some concepts, direction is always a plus especially in the early stages. So hopefully everyone see's these posts and we hear from you all, in your following post please list the fastest/easiest mode of communication to reach you buy so we can start organizing our group. As for me, I personally like to talk face to face to discuss details and to set production into motion (this is just most efficient) but find email adequate after those items have been covered. Again since this is a group project I expect everyone to contribute equally and one of the easiest ways to do that is through good communication so let's make this a fun experience all of us can learn something from. I'm excited to work with all of you and produce some super awesome work,

I think Ryan said there wouldn't be a personal assignment for this week, just a group one, but we can check with him.
DeleteI do agree we should meet up. I do plan on getting started on some sketches though and bringing them to our meeting. I think doing so will act as a springboard to developing a character and gathering personality traits.
I am readily available through texting, and second is email.
This is going to turn out awesome! Since Ryan said each week there should be one designated to 'finalize' the design, I am happy to do that this week and then we can rotate with each project. This means that we'll all contribute to the design, but one person will be in charge of taking all those contributions to create the final image. That's what I gathered from Ryan's explanation. Like I said, I'd be happy to do that this week and let someone else take that position for the next project.
I'm available saturday afternoon, and perhaps monday afternoon or evening. Tuesday would be too late to meet, so I vote saturday afternoon.
Sorry to reply so late, but I'm all for meeting as a group. It is great to bounce ideas around and then we can get things rollin.
